Meet LuLu
Founder of LuLuKuMu
LuLu is the founder of LuLuKuMu, a healing space devoted to supporting people through grief, heartbreak, and major life transitions—using the intelligence of the body, the breath, and compassionate presence.
Her mission is simple and profound: to offer both skills and sacred space for healing, especially for those navigating loss, rupture, or moments in life where everything feels unfamiliar. Through breathwork, guided visualization, and techniques rooted in clinical hypnotherapy, LuLu helps people gently release what the body has been holding and reconnect with a deeper sense of safety, clarity, and self-trust.
LuLu’s path into this work bridges science, psychology, and embodied healing. She attended the University of Minnesota, majoring in Biochemistry and Psychology, and later attended the University of Minnesota Medical School. While grounded in a strong scientific and clinical foundation, LuLu felt called to explore healing beyond traditional models.
That calling carried her to Thailand, where her time at a meditation center introduced her to the transformative power of breathwork. This experience became a turning point—revealing the profound capacity of the breath to access non-ordinary states of consciousness, release stored emotional pain, and support deep nervous system regulation.
Since then, LuLu has completed a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator training, a clinical hypnotherapy program, and additional certifications that support her ability to facilitate breathwork in a way that is effective, efficient, and deeply respectful of each person’s nervous system and lived experience.
LuLuKuMu is grounded in the empowerment dynamic and works through the lens of attachment theory, offering steady presence rather than fixing, rescuing, or pathologizing. She believes healing happens not by forcing change, but by creating the conditions where the body feels safe enough to let go.
Her work is especially supportive for what is often called the “original pain work”—grief and unresolved emotional wounds that live beneath the surface—as well as major life transitions such as divorce, miscarriage, relationship distress, and identity shifts. Clients often come to LuLuKuMu feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck, and leave with a greater sense of embodiment, emotional clarity, and inner steadiness.
At its core, LuLuKuMu is about coming home to yourself—one breath, one moment of presence, one nervous system at a time.
